And there is that chance that it could lower energy bills by <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif;\">motivating people with incentives to cut their electricity consumption.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/rtdbQDytqqg?rel=0\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif;\">The White House revealed a unique energy initiative that focused on clean energy values that, by the year <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif;\">2035, would assure the country of an 80% dependence on other clean and renewable sources of energy. Some of <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif;\">these methods would mean harnessing the power from the sun and the wind, besides using natural gas, nuclear <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif;\">power plants and even using the coal plants by fortifying the means of trapping and storing the emissions of carbon <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif;\">dioxide, by some innovative method. Interestingly, these clean sources now supply up to 40% of the US energy <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif;\">requirements.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif;\">However, the Senate, rejected the climate and energy bill legislated by the government during the year <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif;\">2009. The cap-and-trade system under this legislation brought with it, restrictions on the carbon-dioxide emissions <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif;\">from all sources.\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif;\">Many experts strongly feel that the cap-and-trade system is more acceptable <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif;\">because they see more leeway for decreasing their emissions and thereby allowing them to opt for cost-effective <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif;\">methods to reach their goal. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif;\">Some experts opine that, in this clean-energy scheme, it is possible to design new <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif;\">criteria to meet the flexibility standards of a cap-and-trade system.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif;\">Barack Obama&#8217;s website, jotted down the administration&#8217;s guiding principles about environment and energy. It talks <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif;\">about new clean energy creation, employment and technologies, leading to better independent energy-efficiency in <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif;\">\u00a0A SGIG (Smart Grid Investment Grant) of $3.4 billion, announced (as a part of the ARR Act of 2009 <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif;\">(American Recovery and Reinvestment Act), focused on 49 states and planned to cut power usage by 4% <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif;\">before the year 2030.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif;\">\u00a0Latest efficiency rules for home equipment.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif;\">\u00a0The ARPA-E or Advanced Research Projects Agency-Energy plan under the Energy and the Defense <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif;\">Departments formed the DARPA or Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif;\">\u00a0A new &#8220;Mandatory Reporting of Greenhouse Gases Rule,&#8221; initiated by the Environmental Protection <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif;\">Agency, now makes it mandatory for major emitters of carbon dioxide in the US, to report the quantum of <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; President Obama initiated an inter-agency job <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif;\">force to help introduce a federal plan to capture and store carbon.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif;\">The American recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 was the cornerstone of most of Mr. Obama&#8217;s administrative <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif;\">initiatives, which allocated the bulk funding for purposes of clean energy.
