With traditional methods using one solar cell, conversion rates are about 33 percent. By splitting the sunlight amongst multiple cells, over 40 percent of the sunlight hitting the panels is converted into electricity.<\/p>\n
The Australian tests have been replicated in the United States, and there’s hope the technology will continue to go down in price, eventually becoming accessible for home use.<\/p>\n
