KVAR is the number at the top of the mathematical problem above. \u00a0The higher the power factor your property has to the number 1, the more efficient the home is. \u00a0For example, if your business has a .67 power factor rating, you are likely paying more than you have to for energy.\u00a0 But what about home owners?\u00a0 Are they billed for this too?\u00a0 The answer may surprise you.
