And sometimes those strange places are a little tight. It is estimated that there are over 5,000 injury causing accidents in confined spaces every year, some of which result in death. Are you familiar with your confined space safety?<br \/>\n\tA confined space is defined as any that one can enter but not easily exit and is not designed for continuous habitation. These spaces often have a number of hazards varying from extreme temperature to flammable gases, all the way to radiation. Before you go into these spaces an air test must be done. The average air we breathe contains about 21% oxygen, and for a work space to be considered safe, the air in enclosed spaces needs to be at least 19.5%. Below that you can suffer muscular issues, vision problems, and\/or straight up passing out.<br \/>\n\tSo before you have to go or have to send someone into a confined space, make sure to do your due diligence and confirm the space is safe.
