Saving Electricity At Home: A Discussion on Why $16,000,000,000 in Electricity Losses is occurring in the U.S. Alone…

“Transmission and distribution losses in the USA were estimated at 6.6% in 1997” -Wikipedia

I wanted to discuss how energy inefficiencies in homes and businesses affects power bills worldwide. The US Department of Energy has admitted this fact as well. And Power Companies are VERY tight lipped about this!

“Over 16 Billion Dollars of Electricity is unusable energy, but billable in the U.S.” -U.S. Department of Energy

And that $16,000,000,000 is ONLY the USA. They are not calculating how inefficient the power grids are in South America, Europe, Africa, Asia, Australia or New Zealand!

Whether you are focusing on the residential market, commercial market or both, one fact remains the same.

usaThe more distance and inefficiencies there are between motors (like a Central A/C or Heat Pump) on the property and the power meter, the more the property owner has to pay in energy bills. This means you the customer will be billed for MORE energy because of this inefficiency! This is due to line loss & energy inefficiencies in the home/or business (like old refrigerators, washing machines, swimming pool motors or any motor driven tools/equipment for that matter).

old-refrigeratorThe Power Company has no way of knowing whether the refrigerator (or other appliances/or motors on your property) are old or new except for their usage. The Electric Saver product–makes the motors in your home (or business) more energy efficient. This is how to get a lower electric bill at home or on any property easily, effectively or your money back.

How to Save Electricity At Home with the Electric Saver 1200 Product…
What’s The Savings?

problemWith the Electric Saver installed, savings %’s vary. It depends on how much loss or how inefficient the property was to begin with.

If a property has 4 motors that are 100-150 feet away from the electric meter and they run 24 hours a day, 7 days a week (as in a grocery store’s refrigeration-like produce/meat/dairy-running 24 hrs a day), installing a correctly-sized Electric Saver directly on each motor will lower the electric bill greatly.

In the same example above, if those motors only run 2 hours a day, the percentage of savings the property owner would receive on their power bill would be dramatically less because the motors are only running 2 hours instead of 24 hours.

So you have to assess each property to determine what would benefit your customer the best. If they have 5 large motors but only 1 or 2 (as in Central Air Conditioning & Pool Pump) motors are a good distance away from the electricity meter, then only installing 1-2 Electric Savers on the motors furthest away would be best.
